The End - This is the Program Creator

Of the Freud Museum - London Enjoyed the full program Session two was on TV therapy.  I'm a film person so was reluctant to visit to television content. Absolutely hated, "My Crazy Ex-Girl Friend" and "Gypsy".  However, I have seen just one or two episodes of "Mr. Robot" and "Big Little Lies", so it was nice to see a recap of the entire show in a few minutes. Especially the selected therapy scenes.  "In Treatment" I was a huge fan of on DVD, I didn't see it on TV. I just saw that first season with Gabriel Byrne and was really pleased with the therapy scene Mary selected.  Frasier was silly.  "The Sopranos" I had never seen and the therapy relationship interested and impressed me.  "Mad Men" I had seen and I only appreciated it for the 1950's costumery and set decoration.

This is the girl friend of one of her patients.  She gets intimate with this girl friend.  This is the daughter of one of her patients. Mary says that the show reminds her of Mulholland Drive and Lynch fans will like it.  I don't think so.  She also says it's an interesting show about counter-transference.

I know you have a lot to be angry about, but keeping it to yourself and staying quiet like you're doing is not going to help you. There's pain underneath. That's where our work needs to go.  She asks, What is it about society that disappoints you so much? Then he speaks passionately for 5 minutes about the state of society but at the end, she asks him why he hasn't said anything.  Or maybe because it feels that all our heroes are counterfeit, then pictures of: Lance Armstrong, Bill Cosby and Mel Gibson.  Because we want to be sedated. Because it's painful not to pretend.  Because we're Cowards. he says, Fuck society. She says, Elliot you're not saying anything. What's wrong. He says, Nothing and then continues, "Don't be frustrated". She says, Why do you think I know what it's like to feel alone? He internally says, "Shit, from he...
